Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition Scheduled to Host Annual Shred Day

The Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition is scheduled to host a community document-shred and ewaste-destruction event on Saturday, August 28th from 10:00am to noon in the parking lot of First Federal Community Bank at 902 Boulevard Street in Dover Items accepted for shredding include legal documents, old tax records, medical records, and financial statements.

This is the fourth year in a row that we will accept e-waste, such as computers, keyboards, computer mice, desktop printers, flat-screen monitors, routers, file server computers, laptops, modems, fax machines and hard drives. There is an option to have hard drives destroyed before being recycled.

There is no cost to recycle items, but there is a fee for flat screen TVs and old-style CRT monitors. The cost to take those items are $15 cash for each flat screen TV and $25 cash for each old-style CRT monitor.

A four-box maximum per vehicle will be observed. U-Shredd-It is handling the shredding and recycling services.
Freewill donations will be accepted to benefit the Tuscarawas County Literacy Coalition.
